This old man has this to say.
This thread has more views then any thread in the history of tnet.
More people viewed this thread everyday partly for the shipwreck content, but mostly for the comedy.
Laughter is the best medicine. I think it's a shame that tnet doesn't see that this thread brought so many people together. I think they should change their policy and allow PG comedy in all threads, not just their comedy thread.

Agreed.

Life is "censored" enough in my opinion.

Once you two old duffers have finished complaining maybe we would get a few more people posting??

These are two old U boat Captains so maybe we can now go back to shipwrecks.......

We could a lot of people posting, if it showed that people were posting on this thread on the ship:wreck thread. Right now few people even know this an active thread. New members think this thread is dead.

Divers visit a canoe or boat in a lake near me. It might be a wood canoe but not super old.
A birch one was recovered from the lake I was born near.
Being sunk does not always mean wrecked as wood expanded when wet vs dried out leaving gaps and deliberately sinking in shallows was not unheard of. Oakum was not noticed and heavy coats of lead paint were probably the most common sealer.
Some kids I might have known used to "borrow" a wood boat and by using it did the owner more good than harm till one year dry rot won as kids didn't seem to paint strangers boats much back then..It likely became a shallow wreck.
What ever the preacher on one lake did to secure his wood boat did not keep it fast, and we returned it repeatedly after high winds.
A good boat design it seems travels with a grace on it's own course rather than swamp but age and elements warrant intervention at times.

The bigger wrecks are farther away and semi protected by law, not from lack of full legal restriction..
Their there though.
Here's the Sandusky off Cecil bay.

Never Give Up---Never Surrender

Where There Is A will---There Is A Way

Old Man is right, I had a bit of a time finding it and then when I did find it, nobody was home.

What do people do who have something they want to get noticed, they advertise!!!

This is just an idea I had, what if Sads starts another thread in the shipwreck forum with the same title but adds "May Include Comedy" (or something like that) and then add this thread link in the article telling people to click on the link to get the full story of Sads waitress and bell adventure.

So it would look something like "Watch This Space II, May Include Comedy" maybe they will let it stay on the shipwreck forum thread. (maybe someone can come up with something better).

Sads, you got pool with the Queen, call her butt up and tell her we have a situation over here and need help.

Engine

Now engine. sads669 isn't a Queen, at least I don't think so. Oh sorry, I misread your post. He has pull with the Queen. lol

No, no, you read it right the first time old man. (here we go)!!!!

Here's a queen; she might be up to some pulling!

Will this help get more posts?

Just a FYI, thread is not close to most views in TN history, Crispin Critters thread has 309,000 views and over 17,000 replies and counting..

We have more than a few threads over 75k views, and many over 45k views...[emoji106]

Occasional posts with jokes is okay, but when it becomes pages and pages of back to back jokes it no longer fits in specialized forums. Thread can be moved to "everything else" forum if you wish. Ship wreak forum is for discussing ship wreaks just as north American Indian Artifacts forum is for discussing Indian artifacts...
