That's a cool idea using a tool pouch. Fletch thats a good one then 11.4" is great. NASA Tom does great work!

No I meant the date. After looking closer it was 10.3" on a dime test. The First Texas made CZ's don't get quite the depth but let's see how she does in the field.

10.3" is still pretty deep not many machines on the market today will go that deep. Let us know how it does on your hunts. Good Luck with it!

I'm through trading machines! I got this 3D missing cuff Velcro and screw (which were both in pics I was sent) No manual or original box. I shipped a 1 month old, double boxed 705 dual coil gold pack for this machine with manual, original box and all the parts included! And now this persons trying to get jiggy with me ;(

Was this through TN..?

Fletch I hate to hear that man that's pretty crappy for someone to do you like that!! Contact Fisher and they may send you one free or pretty darn cheap! Let us know who done this cause I'd hate to know they do someone else this way word has a way of getting round on these forums pretty quick.

TreasureHunter, no it was not through this site and we resolved it through emails. I jumped the gun after receiving the first rather pithy email about arm-strap not coming with machine when they bought it, but it was clearly in photos the person had sent me. They said they had made the strap theirselves and I decided not to push the issue by just letting her keep it.

Thanks Fletch, just making sure it wasn't bad deal here...

Came up with a better straight shaft setup and chest mount option for CZ-3D. Going to take it on its maiden beach hunt in the morning!

Setup looks pretty nice. Hope it performed well!

Well it wouldn't run at all. I suspect it was Emi from motels on the beach. I tried dry sand, wetsand. Salt and enhanced with sensitivity backed down and could not get it to settle down. I grabbed the Sovereign and it ran very smooth in exact same area. May try again next time.

Strange! I have NEVER had ANY emi issues with mine. EVER! Even in places other machines will not run, the 3D is ALWAYS rock solid. One of the point I always make when people ask about the CZ, is how well it does in high emi areas.

Didn't you have issues w/it before you even used it? I think I know why the guy wanted to trade it!

No problem with actual machine just missing an owners manual, which I has to print from internet, missing armcuff strap and armcuff bolt. Other than that I think the machine is ok. I knew the balance was terrible going into it.

Fella, when in Auto Tune aren't you supposed to be able to set a stable threshold by adjusting sensitivity knob? I guess this may be a question for Lookingdown and Casper. Do you leave sens up while hunting in auto tune and flip to 0 disc to check targets without adjusting sens setting?

When in AutoTune you use the the sens to adjust your thresh, yes!

That said, I ALWAYS use the same sens setting for AT & disc. Usually 5-6. With the sens at this setting it will more than likely be silent. It is to my ear but I can't hear a dump truck driving through a nitroglycerin plant!

That's about where mine seems to run smooth in both modes and there's no threshold. I tested it out when I got back home and all seems fine. I was too tired and chaffed from wading in surf with Excalibur to go somewhere else to try the 3D again. I may just stick to land detecting with the CZ for now.

I have a Fisher F2 with the DD coil and here in Montana the ground is so mineralized that I never get consistent target ID's unless the object is just under the surface. I find audio is more reliable right now. I hope to someday afford a F75 ltd someday. With ground balance I hope to have better ID's.

Ok I ordered both of N. Toms videos just to see what they were all about and maybe get more insight to the whole Fisher brand. Well the vids had nothing to do with a specific brand but were very entertaining and I did learn a lot about beach detecting in particular. I took my 3-D out on its first hunt at a remote swimming hole at the river. I really love the simplicity of this machine and now I am thinking its a keeper! Found a few coppers, clad and a junker ring but I'll take it! The squished screw caps I pretty much knew what they were after checking in salt mode but just wanted to confirm.
