Britain and the US were standing victorious after defeating Germany and the Central Powers in World War 1.
But the UK was counting the cost - having lost nearly one million men in the mud-churned fields of Europe.
And as well as the spent lives, King George V's government owed what today amounts to BILLIONS to America.
Reeling from the atrocities and the bloodshed, the world remained sat on a knife edge.
And so in the late 1920s, American commanders feared a new war - with their enemy being the British Empire.
These are just some of the declassified pages from the once top-secret 129 pages of War Plan Red.

Lot's of such plans. Varied colors too.
Canada had it's own as well. While knowing the futility, certain U.S. areas were targeted(on paper.)

You don't have a plan?
l.o.l..
Wombats gonna take over in a flash.

Yeah our plan is to roll over and play dead. I think just 1 us states citizens would have more firepower than our entire armed forces.

I am aware of the cubic poo. I saw it in a trivia quiz last week.
Id be interested to see the expression on their faces as they pass them!
My grandparents used to have a cottage in a thick forrest area and there was a resident wombat on the property we called Willy the Wombat. I should have payed attention to his facial expressions then I wouldn't be left wondering as I am now.

They poo square poo cubes did you know!?
Not that, that will help us! But perhaps as we distract them with that fact and show them samples of them it will give us time to escape! 😀
I find it amazing that a newbie from down under has never posted them up in the "What is it" forum.
While detecting a gold rush ghost town beside a 200 yr old Ghost Gum Tree. I found these Black, square, 🧲 didn't stick, but now stinks items.

My reply would be.
"Hi newbie and welcome to the forum. Wow are you lucky! You just found some rare Australian above ground truffles! I know they can smell a little strange but they taste amazing, way better than European truffles. You can eat them raw or add some chopped to your favourite dishes! Bon appetit!"
😀👍
