Hi guys well Yesterday and today were wonderful days here in Mo. We decided to test the new Teknetics T-2 metal detector at a place we were familiar with Ft. Copper has been available to detectorists for over 20 years and it sure is a fun place to detect... it has been well hit over the years and finds are usually very slow and meager in coming...
I have to say I'm so impressed with the T-2 I cant believe how easy it was to set up and use there.
Most of the finds were 4-6 in. deep we would have found them with any machine but one of the buttons we found was 12. deep it was smaller than a half dime and it rang out loud and clear on the T-2 , we could barely get a signal with my DFX and Minelab on the same target both of those machines had to be tweaked until they were barly stable just to register the button but the T-2 was only at 50% the machine is a relic hunters dream!!
Well we had some really good finds there and we should have continued success with the Teknetics T-2!!!

Steve got a 1781 half reale at 9 in. and I got a 1786 2 reale around the same depth...

Very nice JD. I have heard some good reports of that new detector. Seems like a hot item. Thanks for the pics of the place. Now that I know where it is I'm on my way! ;) jk - little too far. And besides I don't have one of those fancy new detectors. >:( :D

JD, nice going. The T2 sounds like it is a great machine. Do you know who the dealers are ? Thanks Tsgman

Not bad !!!! With the Blue ski and the sun shining down ...You just know it's gonna be a great day for hunting..Nice finds J.D. ....Those finds look like some early 1800 finds we pulled out of the Mary Jamison tavern site which is located in a farmers field...here in N.Y. Nice going !! ::)

You just keep em' pilng up...WTG.Look's like you could MD forever there...Awesome find's once again.HH!!

Wow, great finds! Thanks for the great pictures also. I hunt a War of 1812 site here in Ohio and have found some of the same things that you have. I have found a 2bit piece and the oldest coin I have found was found at this site. It was a 1717 Munday Tuesday coin from England. I have found 100's of musket balls and many button's. Agian Thanks for the post! Don't you just love Relic hunting? HH, ringfinder

A lot of you doubters aren't going to believe this but a Technetics T2 is a Bounty Hunter machine! I recently made a post under Metal Detecting on a brochure I received from Bounty Hunter. J. D., How about doing an evaluation under the Bounty Hunter forum for us? Thanks in advance. Great finds, Excellent! Monty

The T2 so far has been surpassing most everyone expectations. It's parent company is First Texas which makes Bounty Hunter. But, it should also be said that Dave Johnson is on the Teknetics team. It's like any detector... not everyone will like it and some people will love it.

You once again prove yourself awesome to the hobby! Great report and super finds!

As for Teknetics, that name brings back memories. I owned a Teknetics CoinComputer 8500 back in the early 80's. It was a very good machine and I think it would still match some top brands today.

It never ceases to amaze me how much stuff people lose! After all the THers that have hit that place over the years and there still are goodies there!

Thanks,

M. Badger

j.d. ..Thats is some nice stuff, In the second row to the right of the coin in the center,
what are the next two things in the picture, I'm finding them around some ares of the
train tract that I am searching. They appear to be brass, I cleaned mine by putting
water and a little salt in a glass, took a spoon hooked a low voltage wire to the handle
and a wire to the button thinge dropped it in the glass, not letting it touch anything.
gave it a couple of Min's. and it came out looking pretty good.
I have yet to find any coins. maybe today...maybe

I believe they are rivets that were attached to pieces of leather. thanks everyone :)

Great stuff as always JD. I got a new detector coming and a foot of snow on the ground here. Dig something for me.LOL I love that reale. That would be enough for me. :) HH

j.d,
Awesome finds.I came a hair of purchasing the Tehnetics MD, just not enough back-feed on it to make me buy it. What minelab md would'nt pick it up out of curosity?
