He had a tavern in the French Quarter, and became CAPTAIN of Beales Rifles, during the Battle of New Orleans. OTHER notables in that battle were Paschal Buford, CAPTAIN of US ARMY Artillery; Maj. James Beverly Risque, on staff of Gen. Andrew Jackson; the Lafitte Brothers (Pirates/Privateers/Spies); who else "connected" to the Beale "story"...? Did THEY conspired to steal GOLD & bury it in LA, then Virginia...? Hmmm... Reckon "Big Scoop" can share the Lafittes "workings"...

Well, "they" coulda taken out the GOLD from the US MINT down in NO, so the "BRITS" wouldn't get it... and "forgot" to put it BACK, dunno. Heh.

Nah... US Mint in NO was 1838; it became the CSA MINT during the Confederate War... BUT! TV show years ago had a guy from NSA saying the Beale Treasure was under water in NO (THE MINT)... dunno.

Well, for those who subscribed ,the evolution of power followed gold physical stocks. ( Note who subscribed to Vattel's law and how they operated, for how long.)
" Who" had what is traceable at many points in a nations role during war time. Eliminating those who did not have stock specie/ tangible gold ,must also note those who suddenly had what they lacked previously. Sources often clouded.

However, like everything else in this mystery it still lacks that directly connecting fact. And that's really where it has to be left, on the shelf unless an unlikely event occurs to turn it into something else.

That road has had the dust swept off of it so many times not a single speck remains, and yet, absolutely no connection has ever been discovered.

However, like everything else in this mystery it still lacks that directly connecting fact. And that's really where it has to be left, on the shelf unless an unlikely event occurs to turn it into something else.

I still like the Galveston Island theory bigscoop. Don't put "truth" on a shelf, your research is a "truth" that you did not have before. It may be just a part of something.

There's quite a bit more that I've not put out here simply because there still isn't that vital direct connection. But yes, that Galveston Island theory is quite strong "if" in fact the narration is anything other then a simple dime novel. I can put a couple of locals in that region during the period in question, but I can't actually put them on that island or make any direction connection with the interested parties on that island. And I may also have a "little bit more" information on the TJB of Richmond and his family ties but still trying to sort that mess out? So, stays on the shelf for now......
