Wanna' see something simple....but REALLY COOL??

I received some emails yesterday from hunters who told me my field test article on the Sunray X-5 coil is now out in the new May issue of Western & Eastern Treasures magazine.

I haven't received mine in the mail yet to see it...but I hope it turned out well. Please check it out if you get time.

I usually have no problem coming up with words to explain my hunts....the sounds I hear...etc :D...but for a lack of better words...this just amazed the snot out of me ;D :headbang:

When it was all said and done...6 rusty nails were around and on top of the dime ...one monster one was laying 1" away from it...one was sticking out the side of the hole...one was sticking out from the bottom and pointing right through the center of the dime...one was laying on each side of it...and one was laying right under the one on the right side.

One quick little rub of mud revealed the back of the dime as shown sticking out from the right of the nail which was pointing up from the bottom of the hole.

After I removed everything from the wet, muddy hole....it was a dead null when I ran the probe...so I'm sure there were more nails underneath. ;D

I scanned the nails and dime as shown in this one pic so you could see how big that one critter was.

It's truly hard to believe that you can find a dime hiding in iron like this until you do it yourself...but trust me...it can be done. :headbang:
I am thankful the Yeti was there to watch all this unfold as I dug the hole. :icon_thumleft: Just no way to describe the experience of seeing something like this unless you have someone there to slap some high fives with. :headbang:

I know it was just one simple Mercury dime...but to find it in these circumstances was something I will always cherish :angel7:

The Explorers and E-Trac just keep amazing me each time out.

I know I love my new Etrac, it does things things my DFX couldn't

Re: Wanna' see something simple....but REALLY COOL??

Until I finally figure out all those sounds the SE makes I'll keep using my DFX too. I hate machines that are way smarter than I am !!!! (Which isn't all that hard) But still WTG :notworthy:

The power of Minelabs, the ability to see good targets surrounded by iron..... :icon_thumright:

Re: Wanna' see something simple....but REALLY COOL??

WOW. You are really in tune with those machines! :notworthy: I once found a silver III center under a small jew's harp, but I chalked it up to beginners luck.. you do it regularly! :icon_thumright:

Was this found with the Etrac or SE? Either way its quite an accomplishment! :headbang:

Re: Wanna' see something simple....but REALLY COOL??

it's taken a while to get used to the Etrac, but I won't go back to the DFX

Thanks TG....I appreciate it. I'm glad the article turned out well. I honestly put many hours in on it. I also did a field test on the Sunray X-12 coil that should be in next month's issue.

This particular find was made with the SE. As for the silver 3 center you found....I've never found one in my 35 years of hunting ???

Thanks Dave. I will admit...the sounds take quite some time to get used to. I feel like I continue to learn each time out :hello2:
