This was the best find this aft. a nice little silver penny of Elizabeth 1, 1558-1603. The portrait although a little weak is not too bad for an Elizabeth coin. Had a message saying I should post pictures of the buttons I find as well as the good stuff. Should I post pictures of everything I find ? including the junk. I would welcome your opinions.

HH Robert.

nice coin and yes post it all

Nice coin! None of these here in Kansas City. I am sure that your junk is different than our junk, so I would like to see what you have to put up with. I dig lots of wino tokens, the colored caps off of the cheap wine bottles!!!!

hum in your trash ---I think I see---A drawer PULL handle -- what appears to be a coin of some type -- lots of shotgun shell heads ( recycle the brass) -- and what looks like part of a OLD buckle .

Great find, any idea of the value today?

Well it looks like mint mark tun, which would make it a fifth issue 1582-1600. In my 2004 coin book the price is £20-£65.

Yes, that would be beautiful Orianna herself.

Well done. :)

Robert,

Nice penny. Even nicer to see - your pile of junque. We (in the USA) have the impression that every target you Brits dig is a 500+ year old "find of a life time" for any of us. ;D

Anything ever happen with your Pope Urban V seal matrix? I still think that's the coolest find ever!

I agree--but for different reasons.

I think it is good to post the junque because someone of all the folks that look at it might recognize a good find in the junque. I post just about everything except for the rusty crusty iron and little flat pieces of brass sheet metal. Sometimes I even post brass rivets... :P

Regards,
