Hey hey diggers!
Its always nice to out digging and making some great finds!
What's even nicer is finding something new or something you never found before. I found my share of old Conder tokens from the UK before and it's great to put another one I've not found before on the list and have a decent example in my collection.
My Hull halfpenny is dated 1791 and has neat rider and horse design..
Supposedly its William lll on horseback.
I nabbed a couple of other coppers along the way...another pair of Nova Scotia coins, an early halfpenny token and a decimal one cent from 1861. And of course the last copper is a blacksmith copper! Its listed as BL-37 in the Charlton catalogue of pre confederation tokens. They are distinguishable by their legend and notably the ribbon on 'George 's' head...very unique.
Caught some silver too!
A nice 1886 silver 5 cents and a silver band...its not marked that I can see but its silver no doubt. Likely a decorative piece from a smoking pipe.
And lastly....how about a little button porn! A nicely gilt civilian fashion button . Killer condition!
Until next time...I'll be searching for that new find that's still really old!
