Really nice watch. I can't tell you a whole lot about that exact watch, but have a jeweler remove the back and show you the insides. Take down every number you can find, the movement caliber, and the serial number. Omega has a good customer service dept. for finding out the history of your watch. It may take a little while (I had to wait about a week for a reply to my email), but be patient. If it was assembled in Switzerland, they can tell you exactly when it was shipped and which retailer sold it. There will also be information about the materials the watch is made out of on the inside of the back. If it doesn't work, it may be a little pricey to have it fixed, but it's worth it. I have an old automatic classic model (ca. 1969) I picked up at a garage sale for a song, When I had it worked on, I was able to trade the repairman a couple of gold rings I also picked up at other sales for the repair. The whole thing was $9 out of pocket expense. That was 4 years ago and the only time it's not on my wrist is when I shower. Still ticking strong. Unless it's a very rare caliber movement, you could probably get around $200-$400 on ebay for it. It's probably worth about $700-$800 retail.
