I've been told that this type of badge would have been issued to teenage apprentice firefighters who were training to join the fire department when they were old enough. I do not know if that is true or not, so please correct me if I am wrong. Anyhow, can someone tell me how old this badge is and what it may be worth? I tried to do some research on my own and was unable to find a similar badge, so perhaps it may be rather uncommon or rare. Any help is appreciated!
