Nifty Art Nouveau brooch :icon_thumright: I'm not sure about the lock. Might well be of the same time - around 1920's. I found 'Yale & Towne' lock 2 days ago. Does yours have Yale logo on the other side of it or Yale Junior stamp?

No Tuatara there are no markings on the back side.I found it at a site that was loaded with square nails & old bricks that had no markings. So , I figured that it is somewhat old but cannot date it exactly. It looks like it may have been painted black originally. How sure are you as to the time period for the brooch?

I assume it by the style. It is likely to be of 1900 - 1920. Very late Victorian or more probable Edwardian.
Just my opinion.
