For all my northern friends, I have great news! NO shotgun shells OR horseshoes to look at today! 
The weather last week was perfect. Lower 80's sunshine and a gentle breeze. We went to our usual hunted out spot and eeked out a couple of finds. Not much, but better than nothing.
Got a neat bottle, 1910 wheat, 1918 merc and a 1898 Injun, miners tag, hem weight and a neat sort of clip. Of course there was the usual bucket of junque not pictured.
Yesterday we hit a site that was an old coal mining town back in the day. Not much there now, a few folks hanging on but for the most part a sad sight to see. The majority of the houses were pushed over and removed in the last couple of years and hunting there can be a bit frustrating sorting through.
We hunted around four hours and dug tons of junque! I had to hurry home, get changed and go and hear Dakota singing his Christmas songs, then out for dinner and ice cream. Dragged back in around 9 pm and start sorting through all the stuff I had emptied into a bowl of water for a soak while I was gone. Charlie must have felt sorry for me cause next thing I knew here he comes with an early birthday present!
No more worn out toothbrushes for me!
This first thing was pretty neat. I didn't have a clue what it was, but PBK did! Thanks!

Got two silvers, 1946 rosie and a 1934 merc, two tax tokens and a neat Woodmen of the World token
a bit of change, a couple of keys, a neat little bell that has an advertisement for pine tar cough medicine
A neat key for I guess, an old gas furnace?, three miners tags AND......my favorite find of the day....a token!
I hope to find more about it. Lisa's Dad has a token book, so maybe he can find some info on it. Almost forgot....found one bullet!
Hope to go back tomorrow and see what we can dig up!
