Hello. Haven't visited the forum for a long time
But I didn’t stop looking in my spare time
For beginners - if you want to know more, make a cut of your findings and look inside it)
Meteorites are not always magnetic.
my some beautifull stones, maybe some from space

I see evidence of Crystal formation and layering, you have rocks....no meteorites

:tongue3: :laughing9: :icon_thumleft:

:laughing9: :laughing7: :laughing7:

Thank you. sorry but it more looks like crystal inclusions. and it is another physical process.
BUT ITS ONLY my opion!

Hello everyone.. Our war continues (((the Rasians are attacking((..Winter has come, melancholy has come, it’s time to look at the stones)). I’m looking at new information on meteorites, and at one moment my jaw almost dropped))..I saw it in In one of the videos discussing meteorites
7eb3f868-5e13-4012-abd9-6f65e0404af4.jpg
Rumaruti, the sample is very similar to my stone.

. Can anyone tell me anything? But in general, I’m watching and thinking more and more that I don’t have ordinary stones)))

Hello everyone, today I watched the video “Thin Sections of Meteorites ☄️ Microscope Camera - petrology mineralogy chemistry w/Mike Kelly” and paid special attention to JIKHARRA 001 with its crystal lakes

photo_5404771607198683301_y.jpg

And today I learned that olivine is difficult to melt and at high temperatures begins to be replaced by metal..

And today I saw a comparison of the same rocks in the HED class between different meteorites.. and found the same segment.

some more strange stone. old photo. I don’t know whether I still have this stone or not .
I used to think it was a tan. but now I’m less sure of this, and I see how the yellow has faded and turned black and translucent.

I think he looks a lot like Gourara 003

Hello everyone, I can’t sit still).. In general, I have a more logical theory.. Perhaps I have tektites of different stages. But from one event. Here are my thoughts... All by translator, I hope the thoughts will be correct). Here is stone 1. It seems to consist of two centers that flew spinning, collecting dust, sometimes pulling up in layers, and then the two centers collided and stuck together. The white layers in it are finer-grained but more distinguishable, the dark layers are more melted. Inside there are crystals of different shapes and colors. But the green crystals are intact. Without halos and substitutions with other materials.

But stone 2. Its matrix is more molten, an almost homogeneous structure of varying composition, in which the same green crystals are visible, BUT here they most often have a white halo, or are in a state of rupture, or seem to have shattered into fragments, sometimes they appear to be replaced by another silvery material. And this stone has a thin, dark, molten shell. And it shows traces of rust or brown color. And in cross-section, the shell appears to be multilayered; the photo shows that there is a darker top layer No. 1, and under it a lighter layer No. 2, even lighter than the stone matrix itself. And perhaps there was a third layer that was browner...and this stone also has a piece of the yellow sector, which seems to have frozen in motion in a spiral.

And what is the conclusion... I began to believe that these stones are the consequences of an impact event. The one that is two-centered, it was in a more horizontal direction and did not have time to melt and only some layers changed greatly, at high speed it collected all the small grains of sand and sintered, and then eventually two similar stones collided and also sintered. But stone 2 flew up, managed to melt and get a peel.

Hello friends, I have a new-old stone again. I watch and listen a lot about lunar breccias. So today I learned about impact veins made from green olivine.

Well, I thought - okay, and in the evening I sat down to look at a similar stone, and I saw green veins in it")...

and there are also places on the stone where micro debris is visible. like pieces, maybe balls... there is even a sector with a collection of pieces like shrapnel.

And as for why we might have a lot of meteorites - here is a photo..There are 5 famous astroblemes around me nearby.
