This evil looking brass bell was a flea market find. The old woman had no info on it other than she had it for about 25 years. I told her I would purchase it as long as she would wrap it so it would not ring. my wife wants it out of the home and its currently in my shed. I recognize the demon figure on it but unable to placed where I seen it before, anyone have a clue? its black as if it were burned. I'm not sure why pic 2 post horizontal.

Update ;
It didn't take long for every thing to be the bells fault so it was moved to the shed. Then when the dog would not break the stare she had, (even when called) out the back looking to the shed, it was time to get rid of it. As far as why I bought it, not sure- it was just unusual.
A young new hire at work wanted it bad, said his wife loves stuff like this. I cut my losses on the $20. I spent and gave it to her. When she picked it up she said "I love it" but did you put it in the freezer, its ice cold. (keep in mind I'm in Florida and it was 83* on Monday, 81* Tuesday). I said " well, good luck " probably good thing I didn't mention the other happenings while it was here. So that's it, less than 48hrs, curious to see how long they hold onto it.

I'm waiting for the post saying the co workers wife did some research and found out it's a one of a kind worth $500.000.00 or more.:tongue3:

What can I say! It's just how my luck runs....:laughing7:

Thought of that to, that's my luck as well. My wife stopped caring if it worth anything after the coffee cup flew from the cabinet and nearly hit her, lol.

Bell Update: it's been a bit since I been on the forum. The new owners got rid of the bell as well. It started with the dog not liking it( mine didn't either ). The told me they would wake to find all the kitchen cabinets open and the sound of the cabinet doors waking them many nights. Finally the young couple were in the shower when they heard a noise. The husband got out to see what the source of the noise was. The wife still in the shower thought the shadow on the other side of the curtain was her husband opens the curtain to find no one there. This more then freaked her out and they sold the bell to a coworker. I'm waiting to hear.

Being a Christian I cant help but to say it's written in the Bible to have no graven images. Don't partake of witchcraft etc etc. I believe things like this bell are used for evil purposes and therefore tainted with the evil it's used for. Whether or not this is a joke it's still something that shouldn't be messed with

It's the 70 s that I have trouble remembering things.???

70's and 80's here, lol. What I remember are things like trying to save the beer from being washed out with the tide....on acid.

That bell reminds me of the demon statue at the beginning of the Exorcist. :o
