please help note the four eagleson it one per side no real luck in identification resembles a british neck stock buckle,but i cant find anything in us to match
 

back is flat no markings at all.... wanted to say thank you!!! sooner or later might find a definitive answer and maybe a match in history .... love this place will be posting here more often for sure

Yea some items dont get solved and its a challenge to keep the conversation and interest going forever but its stays here in the archives and can be solved years later. I have seen it happen. Bump it up months or years from now there may be new members.

No help on an ID, but that is an absolutely stellar relic! Beautiful!

For some reason, it reminds me just a wee bit of this one.

It goes to a harmonica! I'm sorry now I see it looks like an adjuster for suspenders sorry!

Why would a sash buckle have 4 slots? Seems excessive to me. Also seems too thin to be a buckle. I'm going with a cover to something, possibly music related.
