My trusty hot spot had about 2 inches of frost, but managed to dig a stirrup and ox-balls. Then asked permission to detect at a farm I had my eyes on in a very historical town. They said yes. Only had an hour and just before leaving I dug the lead seal. Good sign. I am goign back tomorrow and goign to ask if they mind if I detect again. I wish I had asked if i could come back tomorrow when I initially asked.
