Decided to swing the 250 for a bit after work wishing I could upgrade sooner then a month from now when I got my first Nickle tone. Was yet another ring but a junk one. Went about ten yards further in the baseball field and got a nice dine tone and out popped the .925 beauty. Cleaned up nice and I need to get that stone checked....

I have both an ATPro and a 250. It is possible that I just haven't learned it yet, but I like the 250 WAAAYYY better than the Pro. JS

Good luck on that check, I got one a week ago or so and got it checked CZ of course !

Well, if you don't like the pro.. I'll gladly take it off your hands <grin>
but seriously... .I use a 150 and the Hubby uses a 250.. and we are hoping to get a pro as soon as we can afford it..

Sweet sterling !

Nice Finds!

I'm also getting an AT Pro in about 2 weeks or so. I'm shopping around right now. Do you know a good place to get a new one cheaper than the $594.95 that everyone has advertised?

I doubt if you will get the AT Pro any cheaper anywhere. However give Bart a call at http://www.bigboyshobbies.net/

Waiting for my AT Pro to show up today. My trusty 350 was stolen by some kid last week. Luckily I had found enough gold and clad to get the Pro. Talked to Bart on Monday and placed the order. He was awesome to deal with and made everything super easy. He even threw in some extras and the shipping. I would definitely go to him.

I would say that's probably true. Start out using it in Standard mode. Once you're used to that, start checking your Standard hits with Pro mode to get a feel for it. Eventually you'll just switch to Pro and never look back.

Stone was a CZ of course lol. The 250 has been a great tool as I have found well over 20 rings this year and a few bracelets. The soil here is quite soft and things tend to run deep. The 250 has been a great machine but once I get past a 6 inch signal it hasn't done too well. I have hunted some old sites and silver coins have still eluded me. Looking to go a little deeper. Water proofing is also a plus. Still keeping the 250 and still plan to use it. Finding 7 gold rings in just a couple parks is not shabby at all. I lost count of silver rings lol. I'm just ready to step up is all. HH everyone and thanks for the replies.

Mikecoy, the AT pro is a great upgrade from the 250. Give me a call if I can help you with your purchase.

I have both the Ace 250 and the AT Pro. I am still learning the AT Pro so every now and again I switch back to the Ace 250. Have used the ACE 250 for over six years and have not regretted it one bit. Found silver coins, rings both silver and gold and lots of other stuff. Really like the rings you found. HHHH
