All Treasure Hunting
I can't get a 100% ID on it but doubt it is Roman. Refering to the last 2 pics. Received a few ideas and possibilities on other detecting forums and it's been IDed as a Rechenpfennig (Accounting Token) it had no actual value but was a symbol to represent a value while using an abacus. There were many different styles made, some symbolize businesses, Moneyers, Kings etc. Estimated date of the token is late 1500s to early 1700s. The Spiel Marken is also a token. All I came up with so far. HH, Mike

Two hunts on a fresh plowed field, about 4 hours worth of detecting.? It fortunately rained and compacted the fresh plowing a bit.? Found a few unusual finds and I need some ID help.? Here?s what I found:? Some of the lead finds, 5 musket balls and 3 lead seals.

A few relics and a real nice ornate black glass bead that came up with a silver coin

Obverse of a Spiel Marken, not sure if it is play money or a token, this side shows a rampant horse to the right.

Reverse, in the middle of the reef it says ?Spiel Marken? it looks like a few beer tokens I?ve found.

I?m certain this is a coin, the edge is reeded, the date at the top reads 1893 FOAA, I can make out a 3 at the top of the inner circle, there is also a word below the 3 but I can?t make it out or anything else about the coin.? The reverse is smooth and not worth a photo.

Obverse of a small 1760 silver 1 Kreuzer coin.

Reverse of the 1760, date at the bottom reads ?17 1 60? the 1 is the denomination of the coin.

This is a very mysterious coin I found today, looks almost Roman, the legend reads ?Honos Alit?.? Appears to be a copper but could be a weak bronze.? I need help IDing this coin.

Reverse of the coin, shows a rooster, the legend reads ??????? ARMORVM VICIDES?? Any help on the ID would be appreciated.? HH and thanks for looking, Mike

Awesome Finds! Some interesting coins... I do know that "Honos Alit Artes" is Latin for "Honor Nourishes The Arts". Maybe the "Artes" was on the botton part of the coin...

Pacis et armorum vigiles - Vigilant in peace and arms.

Closest thing to it I've been able to locate is a post-midieval (1580s-1630s) jeton/money substitute. (Kinda like a poker chip or counting token)

Miss Anthrope, that's exactly what it is! Thanks for the ID help and HH, Mike

Mike ; What is that curved object in your relics ? Is it a needle for sewing nets or a fishing weight ? I am also known as BLONDI on UK net

Prairiewolf, I think it's just half of a broken chain link, possibly could be something else. HH, Mike
