First object looks like part of a lock on a diary or journal, something that is designed to keep a document personal? The other one is probably part of a buckle and ribbon or strap that went around the book, assuming they were found close together. Just a WAG. Monty

I agree with this...book strap.

Ribbon clasp half. Like a buckle for a ribbon that would have been worn around the neck. Worn tight usual.
