today i got a spot, and it's huge a full city block in the shape of a "flat iron", approximate 5 to 6 old house tear downs, one house being moved as we speak.....I got out to check it out, and detected for a 1 .5 hours, lot of trash signals. I found a good luck token (the aluminum kind that is stamped out with alphabet spelling keys, middle with a star shape, and horse shoe, flag) & a Bell Telephone and Telegraph FOB, which says 75 years of service to the south 1879-1954.....this place ain't gonna last though....I'm going to be hitting hard for awhile......

Great post, you have one of those head lamps, I'd put it on and hunt all night haha. Might want to watch were they are scraping the soil away also, nice finds can be found there and more bottles.

mws, nice going. Those teardowns always seem do birng out some nice goodies. If you can get back over those spots after a good rain while the weather's nice, keep your eyes open for old marbles that get washed out as well. Good luck and HH!

Carolina Beverage’s predecessor was started in 1913, when Ritchie’s great-grandfather L.D. Peeler and 99 other Salisbury investors bought stock in a branch of Maysville Syrup, a Kentucky company that made a soft drink called MintCola. Four years later, the Salisbury group broke away from the financially struggling parent. Peeler, president of the new company, bought out the other investors and renamed it. At the urging of a flavor salesman from St. Louis, Peeler added cherry to a blend of other flavorings — Ritchie won’t say what they are — and came up with the formula for what became Cheerwine. Why that name? It was bubbly, and its burgundy color looked like wine.
