Oh man...you are brave!!! I would never have let that coin out of my site!!!

Jeff...AWESOME find...I recently found a 1787 Mass Copper and was thrilled but that Pine Tree shilling puts my find to shame.....nice job... I was considering slabbing mine....how;d you go about using NSC and what was the cost etc? And why them over PCGS or NGC etc?

:icon_scratch: y not use a reputable grading service :icon_study:

I am so curious.. what is that beauty worth?

Edde,

Many of the larger companies like PCGS won't even look at it

One that might is ANACS, I know they are excellent with varieties.

Just to get authentication might be another story though,
I have never done the slab without a grade.

EDDE, what is your experience with PCGS?
I quit using them when they started up grading coins just for market value
Started doing the coin grading for fun and profit thing and flooded the market with a bunch of miss graded stuff.

holey crapola Edde, 5500.00 bucks???????????? I know I read your link fast... but holey crap..man I would be buying myself one hell of a nice used camper with that bad boy.... someone call 911 I feel faint, pass the salts... what a fricking excellent find.....

makes sense OD so ANACS would be better as far as pegging down variety,i follow you  and i never used them (PCGS)
i thought but could be mistaken that NCS wasnt allowed to sell there graded coins on ebay anymore?
needless i found this ebay guide helpfull

Thanks for the link EDDE,
Just for the record I have been using NGC and CGI. They both stand behind their grades with money.
If you decide to sell it they guarantee the grade even if another grader says it is a lesser one.

It has been a while (since Januarythat I had any slabbed. They were NGC
and I think they were No edge Washington dollars.

Ill see what I can do about finding more info for you guys.

This coin was on the banner a little while ago. If you click on the arrow that shows all of the banner finds its about three rows down. Awesome coin!!

Thanks for that Evolution,
I was going to say thanks for the update on the Shilling.

So very many of these things get posted and plans made and forgotten and we are left in limbo ...wondering.

Nice to see one through for once.
