Excellent news. I got stopped by no less than three different people who challenged me digging this past weekend. They were new permissions and the owner hadn't filled them in on it, so dug away I did! They had no problem once I told them who had given me permission.

Great news! 🙌

Looking forward to the BIG FIND from that park. It's karma time! Congrats!

CONGRATULATIONS MAY YOU NOW FIND GOLD

Congrats! Glad to see some good news on this! I'm so happy for you that I think I'll come help you detect this place. See you first of March! :laughing7:

Actually, I am coming to nawlins but no time for tectin, its the wife's birthday celebration and I'm running the rock-n-roll marathon.

Well if you can get out for a couple of hours I got your back. I’m sure y’all will have a blast.

The hand lesche is all I ever use in parks unless I am in bare field or the woods

Normsel this is clay it was killing me after to hours, do I broke out the Piranha but I strayed it down with WD40 and it made a bid difference. When I was going in the moist clay would sometimes stick to the shovel and pull out. It was smooth and slide out like butter. Clean plugs.

City Park in New Orleans donated by John McDonagh in 1874 to the people not run by the city but donations. 1300 acres:)

My race actually ends in city park!

PS- you might not want to be there Mar 3rd and 4th. Its probably going to be crazy!

Glad to hear you were given the green light to go back!

I’ll learned a valuable lesson with this I have to take more time with my blogs obviously which I will. I will also not bring my blue ppiranha I will only use my hand lesche from now on it’ll be rough but I think that’s the right thing to do.

I never have, and never will use a shovel in a public environment (aside from a beach and a forest, or with the land owners permission), as it just give people a reason to freak out.

People see you with a shovel and sadly you get the reaction that you got from those whiners.

Good luck on your future digs there, I'm looking forward to seeing what you come up with next. :icon_thumleft:

Now what I would do is get a t shirt I have many ideas but I think you get the idea One for us!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
