Before I start here I'm not out to ruin reputations as the legend was a pipe dream for me until Monday May the 8th.
I was gifted the pro pack and it was shipped by an Amazon seller and I'm not sure which seller it was.
This pro pack was shipped with the firmware 1.07.
I've not even had the chance to register it yet I charged the main head battery and the headphones and went to charge the external battery and I experienced something that happened to another member of this forum strangely enough in May of 2022.
The end lever of the battery fell off, from everything I can tell when you turn it back into place it is suppose to act like a wedge tightening up the seal that is suppose to make it water proof I thought it was suppose to do this but its not.
Now it is on there but it takes no effort for it to just fall off.
As a warning to anyone who is new to LiPo batteries, and I'm not saying that Nokta is selling bad batteries, but as a warning never leave a LiPo battery unattended I've personally seen first hand what happens when they malfunction luckily the person I was visiting with the day that happened was aware of the risks and had already prepared for it.
With that said I guess I need to contact Nokta about the end cap issue, otherwise the Legend is still my dream detector even over an Equinox and even better this was a gift.
And to be clear I did not pull on the end cap when removing the battery from its housing, and for anyone who has just bought this I would like to make you aware there is quite a bit a vacuum behind the battery its self as there is silicon grease added around the rubber seal on the battery.
So I guess its time to get this straightened out update the firmware to 1.11 and get poopin and scoopin.:headbang:

To anyone reading this thread I need to make a correction I I had stated that I thought something was wrong for the separate charger that is for the external battery that comes with the pro pack the only problem was my dumb @$$.
So I have 5V USB adapter but it was only 1A, the minimum as per Nokta is 5V 2A,so the only true issue is the lock knob on the battery housing its self
So I'll be picking up a new adapter tomorrow.
Though my warning about staying present while LiPo batteries are charging still stands.
I did contact Nokta detectors U.S.A. over the lock knob situation and should hear from them tomorrow and have that straitened out hopefully.

I've been thinking about picking one up myself 😁
Alright now your making me jealous just looked at you YT channel I got you bookmarked now.
Yes these things are very capable Nokta has hit it out of the park, I'd like to say more but I've yet to use it, the battery situation has been a bad thing and a good thing I've been able to use my time waiting researching other peoples settings.
It may be more detector than I need as I'm likely never going to be saltwater beach detecting in Indiana.:laughing7:

There better thought I'd better add pictures of the battery,oh and in the background look at that pretty Nokta Legend hat...:hello2:

You're going to enjoy the Legend. When you update it to v1.11 just keep it simple. The performance difference between v1.07 and v1.11 is pretty huge. Not only were about 16 new features added, but operational bugs were addressed. So v1.11 is much better at finding more targets.

Recommended simplified starting setting might be:

Pick your mode. Park has more filters so it is quieter in trash, Field is more open and better for cleaner soil.
Set your sensitivity.
Frequency:
M1 or M2 (whichever has the least EMI) Try a single freq if both are bad. M3 will not beep on gold at all. It's supposed to be for wet or conductive soils, but it will totally miss gold because it's primarily made up of low frequencies.
Noise Cancel: Do this often and before you reduce sensitivity to offset EMI.
Recovery: Average 6, if you are in trash 7 or 8. Below 5 you'll notice the tones getting longer which means you might miss targets right next to each other. But if targets are few and far between then 5 and below will help you go deeper.
Pick your tones.

The other settings that you might want to test are the IF(Iron Filter) and ST(stability). These settings are only available in M1-M3. If you're getting a lot of falsing from iron increase the Iron Filter until you hear the falsing start to turn into actual iron tones. The Stability is a finer adjustment for the Iron Filter.

Make a copy of the v1.11 changes when you update and keep it with you while you detecting. It will help you to navigate to different features while you're learning the machine.
