Unusual signals.....worth digging deeper?

I have recently "converted" to minelab and I don't find the depth meter to be extrememly accurate anyway. Monty

Too funny, I actually did go metal detecting the first time and had an intermittent signal, took me about 15 minutes to realize my boots were setting the detector off.

Just cracks me up to realize someone else had the same problem.

When in doubt,Dig that bit*h!!! look at it like this, If you get down to ten feet below the ground and still dont find anything,The next time you do find something good,You`ll already have a place to bury it.

To make the probe better; make it out of 3/8" rod and have a 1/2" ball bearing
welded on to the tip. This makes room for the rod as it is pushed into the ground.
Any rod smaller than 3/8" bends to easy, have a tee handle on top and your ready
to go.

Where is the signal by the house or out building? the reason I ask is this I had read an article can't remember what mag it was in but the guy was called into detect a yard before the new owner bulldozed the property he didn't find anything so the owner dozed the property and pushed a chicken coop over and when he was backing up he looked over his shoulder and there were silver coins every where. In the coop there was a good sized cache covered by an iron boiler/stove plate the detectorist said that if he would have seen that come up on his screen he would have passed it up.
Now me I am the curious type any way when it comes to stuff that seems out of place I want to know why.LOL
So dig it. Like Forest Gump says " You never know what ya gunna get"
