✅ SOLVED Unusual open pontil bottle fragment

Anyone ever seen an open pontil bottle resembling this. I'm posting here as well as the bottle site. I would love to know what the heck it was! I found it at a spot with a very long history of habitation going back to the 1700's. First listed as the site of a French trading post along the river. I was hoping someone on here would recognize it. Thanks
