✅ SOLVED Unusual farm dump find - What is it ??

This was found in a ravine on and old family farm and it has me baffled. On the sails of the ship one can see the symbols of several different cultures. If I'm not mistaken there is the Moslem Crescent, The Jewish Star of David, the French Fleur de Lis (sp?), The Japanese Rising Sun, and the English Cross of St. George....not sure on all of them. It is close to a foot and a half in diameter and had some of that old cloth wrapped electrical cord connected to what looked like part on an old electro magnet. To this date I haven't been able to find anything close to it. I thought possibly there was a rotating color wheel behind it to give the illusion of sailing but at this point I'm open to all opinions. I should mention that it is cast iron and has some weight.

It's from the 1920's, those two "doorstops" look like the same piece except somebody cut pieces off to sell it as something else !

Even the design on the sails and the flags match. I don’t think the poster of this thread has been active since 2013
