This is theory that I have for the sudden switch to unmarked boxes in several areas around the country. Let me hear your opinions however harsh they may be. Lol. Perhaps this is a government attempt to redirect silver to an unknown location where they can filter it out of the system. Sound crazy? I am not so sure. The government is printing unprecedented amounts of money with no means of backing it up. Couldn't it be possible that the next step is government syphoning out silver and later confiscating riches. Has it not been done before in history? What are your thoughts. A lot of people are reporting these new boxes that produce very little. They just switched over 3 weeks ago. It seems to be happening in various parts of the country too. I am in VA. Where are you at and has it happened to you?

Well quiting is always an option. ;D
As for me I'm gonna keep plugging away stamp or no stamp.
Its not like you can refuse to take the box once you order it or
they will NEVER order for you again, and it would be
stupid not to check the box for silver just because it has no stamp...

Golden,
The unmarked boxes are coins that your regular CWI had to get from another source because they didn't have enough of their own returned bags of halves to do a full run. Don't ask me how I know this I just do. Volume in returned halves that are new in the system is down I would say a good 75% from three years ago and hunters are way up. They will (CWI) call around to see who has extras in their area and pick up a pallet from them until they get enough of their own coins to do a run. Too many hunters and not enough coins, simple as that. Hope this helps.

I believe this is true for Brinks as well. Boxes have been mostly crap lately, only a few keepers here and there.

As far as stamped CWI boxes- I have only had a couple dozen CWI boxes in my CRHing career, and I never saw any with a date stamp like some here mention. I always checked hoping the date would be old thinking the box may have lots of keepers, but no date to be found. Most of the CWI boxes I had were skunks, but a couple were great. Brinks used to be more consistent with keepers.

50cent, It makes sense to me. I think you have a good take on it. I will keep trudging ahead as long as I am finding a few.

Undated boxes are the result of an elite group that has managed to secure duplicate keys and pass codes in order to gain entry to CWI Coin Rolling Facilities after hours.

The group will enter the facilities after everyone has left and begin to open boxes in order to search halves. After taking the silver, they repackage the coins and return everything to the way they found it in order to avoid creating suspicion. They cannot reuse the boxes they open as the glue does not allow them to be opened without damaging them, so they use new boxes to rebox the halves. Unfortunately, the inspector stamps are stored in a safe that they have failed to gain access to, so they just leave the boxes unstamped.

So far, they have eluded detection from the tight security at CWI.

And now you know................ the rest of the story!

these unmarked boxes are just terrible my average for the lat 16 boxes with the unmarked boxes are 1 per too boxes, another two boxes today yeilded just one 40%... 6 more boxes tommarro, if this keeps up idk what im going to do i might just stick with the dimes, my last three dimes boxes yeilded 9 merks and no silver rosies, i was happy to say the least.

Bourassa,

Last time I got good marked boxes was around February 1st from Webster bank. Got a few unmarked boxes from citizens,no skunks but nothing to brag about.
