Ive seen this (one like it anyway) on here before, I think it was a handle for an oil lamp or something along those lines.

Brass with brass or copper rivets. Probably a sheet brass base with a rolled rim over a iron wire, and a sheet brass candle holder with push-up.

Oh nice! That's what I meant, totally. You can see how it was riveted on to the underside of the pan. Your example, BTW, had a brass snuffer that hooked onto the square hole by the thumb pad.
