I recently found out that the area here in Hatfield, PA where I do my hunting is very near to some Revolutionary War activity sites in Whitemarsh and Whitpain Twps, so I am now second-guessing some of my previous finds...I mean, some of them don't look quite like what I thought they were. So now it's up to you guys...

Great eye, Grasshopper! I've looked that thing over a few times and didn't see the engraved printing in it. #2 is SOLVED! The printing reads "Anne Klein", and is a line of women's clothing. No idea on age.

No idea... would have been nice if you posted it on your own thread, though.

Here's some measurement:

octagon button.jpg

Seems to be about 0.8" (21mm) wide. I've tried Googling everything under the words octagon button, maltese cross, Blue Label, dd 14, PP hI, german button, Hessian uniform button and any combination with the caveats "antique" and "vintage" all to no avail. No one has any ideas?
