I found this antique copper item and don't know what it is. There aren't any maker's marks on it, The only name is L.T. Taylor stamped in the 'spout' portion of the top. The craftsmanship on it is wonderful. On either side of the container are three brackets which seem to be for some sort of strap. The 'spout' has a wide screen on the bottom and a finer screen on top of that. Might be used to strain or separate. Hope to hear what it is. Thanks!

Maybe you get more money selling it as a minnow bucket but the closest match so far without any doubt is milk.

could be maple syrup related. ive see strainers on collection buckets before........keeps the bark and bugs out of the pan. also alot of the older equipment was copper.

Yes, I agree with the minnow bucket thought. I found a tin minnow bucket online and its design was very similar. Thanks to everybody!
Can you post a picture of the tin minnow bucket that looks similar? The milk still remains the closest match posted. Minnow bucket has been mentioned (seen at an auction) but with absolutely no supporting evidence. Just saying post a pic so we can all see it.. and agree or disagree. Thanks.
