Unique dime? Cant figure out whats different about it!!

I have this dime I found in a collection of old coins and I'm trying to figure out what's different about it. Well first of all it was in a coin collection with rare old coins so why? And the material or something seems to be different and it's too young to be a silver dime (1988). Does anyone have any ideas of what it could be?

I didn't come on here to argue with anyone and recovery did nothing but start insulting me and told me to take my dying dog out to the backyard and put it out of its misery! My pet,member of my family for 10 years! I have a 6 year old son who cries about it and that's what he says to me and he's going to complain about a comment that I said in self defense and hurt!! Wow what a nerve!!! Seriously!!

I didn't read all of this and have not posted for a long time, but I strongly feel Attempted Recovery should be banned. This is supposedly a mature place for discussion and not such horrible attacks. Oh wow how did I not see this thread until now oh well... the dime just looks dirty you should rub it with baking soda and see if it cleans up

Better yet- Place it on a piece of Aluminum foil in a glass coffee mug or something. Add boiling water and a teaspoon of baking soda. A few dashes of salt wouldn't hurt either. Let it sit there a few minutes and dump it out, rinse it off and wipe it with a clean dry rag and see how clean it looks. Maybe there is something different about it that we just can't see because of all the crud.

PS- I can't believe all this drama started because I simply disagreed with attempted recovery. Wow!

When we ban someone if they sneak back in and are caught the ban goes up, especially if they decide to try to continue their antics for why they were placed on a timeout to begin with... Attempted Recovery felt he just had to return to the scene of the crime, he couldn't leave well enough alone.....
