Oh, I see what your'e talking about......a tit. Well, I can't tell because it is squashed at the base, and I can't see inside the hole. Please understand that I am ballistically challanged ;D, and thought civilman ID'd it already, thus the solved check.

All he mentions is from the Selma Arsenal which is in Alabama. He gives no explanation, no pics, no link. I am not familiar with Minnie balls and I hope someone will be along to help. If I was to make a wild guess I would think he was saying a bullet from the Selma Alabama Arsenal. :dontknow: Heres a pic from fortballs link. http://www.tennesseelead.com/

Here is a link to all of the three ringers,It is very possible it could be a M&M 350 Selma Arsenal.
By the pic posted,to me it look as the rings came up the side farther than I thought maybe by the
way that it is smashed. The grooves also look as they are the machine type and not like the grooves on the M&M 350.But that is my opinion. Check this out and see what you think.Scroll down and look at all of the bullets
and see which one you think it is.Click on bullet search,Type in three grooves and search.

Im not familiar with Minnie balls. 5/8 inch would be over .60 caliber. It is probably .58. Maybe because its smashed. We could use a more accurate measurement of the diameter. A caliper would be best to measure it.
