Viking - I don't know a lot about quartzite artifacts but I'd say that's close enough to a tool that I'd keep it.
 

Coarse grained quartzite weathers much quicker than finer grained cherts, rhyolite, and chalcedony, etc. If you haven't seen alot of the material in hand it can be really difficult to determine if it's natural or something altered by the hands of ancient man.

I've picked up buckets full of similar quartzite flake knives and tools in Va. over the years and can confidently say that that is a flake tool / flake knife. I keep them because they're artifacts.

Must be exciting to be finding them on your property. My yard would look like the surface of the moon if I was finding artifacts in the garden. I've got bunches of quartzite tools, flakes, brokes, knives, etc., that I would give you if you're interested in some study pieces, pm me if you're interested.
