Hit the Hayfield for a long hunt in the cold. I found what I believe is a King George, just not really sure (it sounded nice) I also found two Fatty Indian Head Cents, both 1859, a 1881 and a 1876 Indian Head a silver wash button along with a couple small ball buttons. I found the thing I keep wanting to call a gun barrel, I just can't because I really don't know what it is. I have looked all over it for marks finding nothing. If anyone knows please chime in. The one round thing with a hole off center has letters on it that say waterville (I think) lots of question mark in my finds today. It might be awhile before I go back to the Hayfield. I stopped on my way in and gave the farmer the 1825 Classic Head Half Cent I found, he has that look in his eye looking at the stuff I give him. I bet he will someday have a detector in his hand.

Enjoy the pix

Nice finds brad, good job giving some to the farmer!
The farmer has expressed his interest of things old with me from the first day I spoke with him. He was putting a floor in a office shed out front of the farm, the boards he pointed out to me came from his home, which he told me was built in the 1600's I immediately said, "wow, that's where I want to look, in that yard!" He just smiled and said he was saving that for him to detect. I have shared that half cent and a 1819 one cent along with a bunch of other coins and relics. I can tell he really like them all. I'm finding out I enjoy finding and cleaning all this stuff and giving some to the landowner I like now. I have told him I would try and help him and his kids learn how to detect, I would love to hunt his other farm where that older house is. I will approach him about it later, I want to do the fields surrounding that house and do with him the yard. He owns thousands of acres.

Bummer when you can't get enough detail for an ID, but could very well be KG as you suggest. Great IH haul! Two 1859's in one hunt is sweet!
Thank you
