Unbelievable Finds At Thrift Store

A couple of more finds from my phone 20180413_183024.jpg

I saw this on the thrift store shelf for 1.59. Does this under blacklight:

Turns out it was made starting 1874 and called Wildflower pattern. Worth about $35.

Found 3 of these at a junk shop for $6.

Turns out they are from 1860-1880 and worth about 15 each. Gets addicting. Sorry for the sideways photos.

Here is a .50 Hoosier Glass bud vase that sold for $12.00 just last night.20180427_053920.jpg

Nice finds everyone. I found a nice BIM Fostoria cruet in the 1908 Tuxedo pattern at a thrift last week. Paid $3.99.

Well, been stopping at my favorite store this week after work and found a few nice goblets. I found 7 ribbed goblets from the New England glass company for $1 each. I saw one dealer selling them for $75 each, but maybe I can get half that for them. They date to circa 1864. I then found my oldest goblet yet, a Bakewell Pears baby thumbprint from the 1850s. I paid an massive 50 cents for it.

I see so much of the crystal and glass, every time i look anything up its mostly worthless. There was a signed crystal fish bowl type of bowl today, beautiful cuts, nice design etched in, and signed. looked it up on ebay, and similar sold for $5-8. I guess I just need to research more, because I thought glass was dead.

Nobody buys yhe stuff around here. every store has racks and racks of glasswares.

I look through hundreds of pieces of glass before I find things worth buying.

My buddy (who is far more lucky than I am) just sent me pictures of a jewelry bag he just bought at GW. He paid $14.99 for over 100 pairs of earrings in 10k and 14k. ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1526779107.810942.jpg

Over 100 grams! I keep telling him to buy lottery tickets. He also got a 5ct diamond necklace at another GW last week (I passed on the jar myself). He sold it for $3200 the same day.

I really enjoy seeing everyones picks...and pics so keep 'em coming. Although I don't know a thing about glass I will use this thread for cross-reference should I happen to come across some similar pieces.

Happy to report the Kosta Boda vase, a $3 pick, sold for $125 just minutes ago.
I also pulled the trigger on a $30 jewelry jar that netted nearly four ounces of sterling and some keepers for Sharee and me which included stud earrings and beaded neck chains which we both like to wear.
It also had three nice Alex and Ani charm bracelets and some turquoise and mixed stone expandable bracelets which are all posted on feeBay but we haven't been as fortunate on the jewelry jars as some of you guys!

Ramstein Air Base is the biggest US Air Force Base outside of the US in West Germany. So funny that you found this because I grew up in that region!

I pick up a lot of stuff from Germany. Stationed there for 3 years and all the stuff from Southern part just brings back great memories.

You may have a point. My fiance had to practically sit on me last week to shut me up as I was too loudly proclaiming my zeal while scratching off a $100 winning ticket at a restaurant in a not-so-great part of town :laughing7:
