UKRAINE TRIP/ GERMAN MEDAL, 1735 coin and 1899 COIN. NEED HELP ON THEM...

Just got back from the Ukraine where I spent 17-days there traveling the country and on a hunting trip for Red Stag. I knew I'd be near several beaches so I had to carry my machine with me and I'm glad I did. The medal and earrings I dug from a beach in Yalta. The two coins came from the southern part of the Ukraine. The 1735 coin I'd love to know more about it cause I'm not sure what I really have. Any help on these would be greatly appreciated...

Looks like some good digs. By the way, how was the stag hunting? I am a full-time taxidermist in Michigan and have done quite a few red stag for customers. They have come from New Zealand, England, and Argentina but I have yet to have any of my hunters head that way. PM me if you don't mind and tell me more about your experience there. Thanks and nice assortment of finds there.

Nice finds. I believe your German emblem is a party affiliation piece, rather than part of a military medal. I don't find a match for it my military books, and the back is too crudely finished for the standards they had for their military medals (at that point).

Very interesting finds for the states.

My guess on the smaller coin: (if it weighs about 8g): Russian: Anna Petrovna 'denga' (1/2 kopek) somewhat similar to the one of this page:

If it weighs about 4g, it's a 'polushka' (1/4 Kopek) coin. On second thought, I'm more sure it's a polushka: See: http://www.rustypennies.com/catalog/pix/bj611.jpg

Don.....
Don, Thanks for your reply, It was a big help and I learned alot from the sites you forwarded to me. Again thanks...Todd

Great find, I used to play on the beaches in Yalta and Odessa (that's where I grew up) in retrospect I would love to hit the hometown with a metal detector, there is just so much history there!. Great finds

I dug a nice Early 1800s Navy Eagle the other day along with some NICE CiviL War Camp relics that I need to post. Found an image of a soldier presumably also. This site has given some AWESOME things including a rare like HENS TEETH shotgun shell from the 1860s, SOLID BRASS the whole length.

Hope you get you an eagle now that youre back
