UFO UAP Sightings or Encounters

mid 90's, north central Ohio, I'm on the edge of a field, with the tree line 400 yards away. Military choppers were flying around the area every night, I was watering some pot plants just before dark, and was keeping a close watch on the sky.
I noticed some faint lights through the trees, at the far side of the field, and here came what looked like, at first, a cluster of balloons, just above the trees.
No sound, as it cleared the trees, into the field, it dropped about half way to the ground, and followed the edge of the field, slowly, until it was out of my sight.
It wasn't balloons, it looked like five or 6 pastel colored balls, 4 feet or so in diameter, rotating in a tight circle.
they were lit up, and would dim, and then brighten, each one a different color.
I searched youtube for weeks, finally found it in black and white, just what i saw, mixed in with a group of other sightings, with no explaination.
I might be able to provide an explanation for this as I had a somewhat similar experience about 10 years ago in Indiana looking east towards Ohio. My wife and I put the kids in the car and went for a drive one evening not a mile from our house and up in the sky on a crystal clear night I could see 4 or 5 of these large lights just hovering in the air in a near straight line but at an angle (Phoenix lights as an example -see below). I stopped the car and rolled the window down because it was such a massive span much larger than a plane (like the lenght of football fields long), bright lights and in classic ufo terminology no flashing lights or noise. Then to both of our surprise each light turned off at about the same time and the object was just gone! I couldn't believe it and drove a two mile square looking but never saw it again. For several weeks I was convinced I saw something out of this world and told a co-worker who lived near by and he laughed and said the exact same thing happened to him until someone who had lived in the area longer than us told us exactly what it was ...although I have never seen it occur since. The explanation was this when the Cincinnati airport is busy the planes will have their landing gear light on and be lined up to come into land, but since the landing light is much brighter we can see it over an hour drive away on very clear sky evenings, but we don't see the smaller lights drowned out by the larger light. Then when each plane banks to go in for landing the lights seemingly disappear - because the plane turned enough that they "go out" All the planes lined up circling the airport make it look like one big object in the sky. Or possibly a line of balloons floating in the air depending on how far away you are. I still think it was one of the coolest things I have ever seen and would love to catch it on video just to show the people who laughed at me when I was loosing my mind for a couple weeks. I'm not saying that is what is pictured below but what I saw was similar.

Good story. Thanks.

I was in Copenhagen back in the late 1990's on business. It was a beautiful night out and you could see so many stars. One of these stars began to move and I figured it was a satellite or plane. Then it stopped for a few seconds and then started moving again in a completely different direction. It would move closer, then move away. Up, down, sideways. Then it began to change speeds and direction until it finally shot off like a bat out of hell until I couldn't see it any longer. I have no idea what it was but I later learned that area was well known for UFO sightings.

I've seen several. The first one as a Boy In Rural Pa. I was standing on the road behind our house, scanning the Hillside of a newly seeded strip mine patch toward evening around Mid September. I was looking for the huge deer herd that had been having a feast nightly. This hillside was about 5 miles away. There was a Gap between two Hillsides . As I scanned the area with my Dad's Navy sea Binoculars (50X10) I saw something up in the air, just hovering it was sort of dark. Not a Plane, definitely not a Helicopter. It was shaped squarish on the bottom and sort of dome shaped on top. I watched this thing for about a minute it didn't move just sat there in the sky. All of a sudden it just dipped below the Hillside to the left FAST.

Now Lately, I've see some strange things from the back Deck of my home at night. Last summer I saw some strange lights that were attached to a long squarish object that was hovering silently just south of Martinsburg Wva. Yeah I know there is an ANG Base that flies all sort of aircraft including the giant cargo planes which make a lot of noise & Im familiar with the aircraft they have, see 'em & hear 'em all the time. This made no sound, it seemed to go up and down while hovering had two reddish lights on each end two white ones in the middle. Just hovered, no sound. Looked like it was above I 81 which is about 6 miles east of me. I called a friend and told him to look out his front porch. He did and saw the object clearly as it moved out of my view. He said it looked like a "fishstick" had the two off red lights and two white ones which then went out ad the two reds remained but dimmed. The thing went north then east towards Maryland. I got some footage of this which I will try to post when I have some time.

ABout three weeks ago I went out on the back deck again just before 10 Pm, clear and cold. I seen a set of lights Near Gerrardstown Wva about 2 miles away which I thought was a helicopter hovering. No Noise very still, a helicopter doesn't hover like that. There was on red light on top a VERY bright white light in the middle and a red light below . Not blinking. Imagine an " I "shaped object just sat there and the glow from that white light was substantial....I thought the "night sun" from a Police helicopter but there was no "beam" downwards which is usually the case with police air craft searching for someone. I call the wife, she comes outside says "What is That? That don't look like a helicopter" I went to get my cell phone to take a pix and call the same friend as before but She said
"Its moving" It moved to the side and we could both see it was D shaped with the 3 lights on front. It gained altitude going east fairly fast then shut down the two red lights.

Make of it what you will.

Sounds like you saw something, dammit mister I believe you! Thank you, interesting indeed.

From Reddit:

"Professor Gary Nolan of Stanford claims that “DNA doubles in complexity” roughly every 600 million years. If you keep deducing it's half-life to when it must have been created, it sits at roughly 9.5 billion years old. This is interesting, if true, obviously because it means DNA is 4 billion years older than Earth.

If you google Dr. Gary Nolan you can read more about the theory.
If you agree with his assumption that DNA becomes more complex in a linear fashion rather than exponentially, or even in a Fibonacci Sequence like much in nature obeys (flower petals, pine cones, mollusk shells, etc ). I disagree with his assumption. And, obviously, his math must be wrong based on the origins of life on Earth not being possible before Earth had formed.

I didn't read anything about the man or his theories. He is almost certainly misguided at best and an outright crackpot or con man at worst.

But Rusty Gold said, "
Without going too far out on a limb here, there’s certain parts of our DNA that are older than the planet earth.
And then Deane said,
"Very interesting. Can you please cite a link to verify this statement somewhere? Thanks."

So I was I was just sharing some info I found in case Deane wanted to look into it deeper.

A few years ago I was outside pee'ing the dog, about ten pm, a gorgeous starry night. I was looking up at the stars and one of them started moving, I kept watching it because I've never seen anything like it. It was zig zagging between other stars like someone was playing Pin Ball with it, it was bizarre. So I guess I saw a UFO.

Good evening, I do not post much but do like to read and follow. I came upon this post and had to share my story! As a commercial refrigeration tech I spent a lot of time on rooftops. I was in Greenville SC on a rooftop attending a service call and noticed in the not to far distance (maybe 1.5 mi) a cylindrical shaped object hovering not to far above the tree tops. Now I thought at first maybe a helicopter but it didn’t move as a helicopter would, it hovered for maybe 10 minutes and the slowly gained a little altitude before suddenly dropping back to the tree tops, as I watched it I did not realize the scale of what I was watching. All of a sudden there were 3 military helicopters passing over my location, these were combat helicopters loaded for bear!!!! They approached the object and seemed to be dwarfed in comparison. The object kept the same altitude and was flanked on three sides by the choppers, all of a sudden the object went straight up gaining altitude at an extreme speed till it was out of side. The helicopters never had a chance! Just my experience on a beautiful spring day. Enjoy

I have a few visual sightings I would like mention, the first occurred during a summer night during the late PM of 1971. It was a moonless night and I was in the backyard stargazing with my telescope when I noticed a slow moving object approaching from the South. At a distance I could see what looked like a line of several slow pulsating red lights. The pulsating glow cycled every 3 seconds and the brightness was less than that of aircraft strobes which I'm quite familiar with. I turned my telescope southward to get a better look and then I could see that line of lights were actually curved around the object. As it approached even closer the bottom of the craft became visible and I could see it was circular with lights numbering about a dozen being evenly spaced around the outer edge. The object was traveling due North and my home was in direct line with it. I was able to observe it with my telescope until the mount interfered with the tripod, I then watched unaided as it moved almost directly overhead. It was at that moment when I felt small and insignificant... the entire craft lit up in a bright bluish white light and streaked off heading due East. It was out of eyesight in 2 SECONDS.
I should also mention that during the observation there was absolutely no noise I could hear coming from this object.
This sighting took place approximately 4 miles North of Bethel, Ohio.

I have 2 other more recent sightings that occurred east of Hamersville, Ohio that I feel need to be shared.
One involved an orb shaped object I observed during the summer of 2019.
While I was doing some yard work I noticed a high altitude jet flying East to West on a hazy cloudless day. I wouldn't have paid much attention but the thick lingering contrail it left in its wake was an attention grabber. I'm used to seeing these lingering contrails nowadays and find it interesting compared to what I grew accustomed to watching when I was a youngster. Had it not been for this large contrail I would not have paid any attention and turned my eyes elsewhere! The object became visible after noticed the high flying jet make a sudden 45 degree southwest turn. At the turning point I could see a bright orb shaped object and it appeared to me the jet had quickly turned to avoid a collision. I thought about running inside and grabbing my camera but instead yelled for my wife to bring her cellphone cam while as I kept my eyes on the the object. Had I gone inside I would have missed what happened next! The object blinked in brightness a few times, each time it would blink it shrank in size and then there was a final blink and it winked completely out of view. I went inside and got my binoculars and searched for several minutes but it was nowhere to be seen.

My other sighting involves more than one craft and occurred Jan. 7th 2018 at approximately 2:57pm, same location as the orb shaped object that course changed a flight.
The event happened while I was behind my house cleaning a woodstove chimney pipe. It was a bright, sunny and hazy free day with just a few white clouds slowly moving through the sky. I was on the roof cleaning a spark arrestor cap when I noticed 3 brilliant gold colored objects approaching from due West. I was sort of dumbstruck for a moment because I could not recall ever seeing shiny gold colored aircraft in all my years, even while serving in the military. As they approached my position I could see beneath the first 3 objects and now 2 more were visible following closely behind the first two on the right. All together the 5 objects were flying a tight formation perfectly distanced from each other. The dots below represent the formation as I had seen them as they approached and quickly passed overhead.

This is the formation > .::

These objects were approaching in a heading placing them almost directly above me as I was standing on my roof. The gold color diminished as the objects flew closer and it was then that I realized what I had been seeing. The objects were so reflective that it was the sunlight giving them the brilliant shiny gold appearance. When these objects were almost directly overhead I could see that each one had the exact same features. There was curvature to the underside and the overall outer shape was elliptical. The sides were similarly reflective with thick curves, not thin. I have to stress that these objects were extremely reflective like an optical mirror. I could plainly see reflections of the ground on the underside of each craft along with brilliant blue sky and clouds on the curved sides.
These objects were flying below the clouds and I estimate the altitude most likely 8,000 to 10,000 feet, however not having anything to scale these objects with I can only estimate they were all approximately 50'x30'x10' each. Judging the speed on how quickly they passed overhead and disappeared off the horizon I would estimate speed greater than 500 knots.
Below is an artwork picture I found that closely matches what I witnessed, perhaps others have seen the same craft?

You seem to have kept good records of your sightings, that,s a good thing to keep in mind when coming in contact with the unknown. Thanks, neat stories.
