I don't think this is a hitch pin. Although I've been wrong a lot. At first I thought it was but I haven't seen any that match up to this. Any other possibilities? I got it soaking in vinegar to see if the shape changes much

That's what I was hoping at first but I think there are threads near bottom, I'm currently trying to get the bulk of the rust off
