Two Unusual Iron Pieces

[Iron Buzz]

From a farmhouse that dates to 1860. (I have no reason to believe there is any connection between the two items. Just posting two mysteries from one yard in one thread). Any guesses about either piece?

Pretty damned big light fixture, at 4" per link! But at least its a guess!

(I mentioned in the original post, but it bears repeating that there is probably no connection between the two pieces other than coming out of the same yard.)

I don't think so. A cross section would be round, and there are no feet to keep it off of a surface.

I posted to my club's Facebook page and one person suggested what you call the "heart shaped thing" might have been hanging off the trailer hitch on a wagon. LOL! (I'm sure you get the picture)
