Anyone know what kind of metal could be in this rock?
Also, I found what I believe to be a fishing weight with "NTED" printed on it. Anyone know what the first part could be?

Led often came in a strip, with the company name embossed.Your piece seems to be a piece of one of those, fasioned into a weight. My wild guess as to what it may have said, would be "WARRANTED"?

If so that would be pretty cool. Thanks for the insight I'll look into it, HH!

I'm thinking the "lead" piece was originaly a bar at one time used by plumbers to join and seal cast iron pipe. It also could be solder. I've seen pieces like this used in radiator shops back in the day. Is it possible that the word was "PATENTED" before being wittled away?
