went back to the new fields I acquired last week, as a few more had been ploughed and rolled managed a few more Roman Bronzes, one with very nice reverse
the ground is very dry and the signals were few and far between to start with anyway after managing about eight Bronzes and a fragment of a Bronze bracelet, I decided to move back closer to the Villa area
Two of my favourite fields had been freshly ploughed and rolled, and the first signal turned out to be the first Roman Silver of the new campaign, unfortunately it was well clipped
had a few interesting bits and pieces of this field, and it was towards the end of the evening when I got one of my smallest Hammered's a very nice Elizabeth1(1558-1603) half penny, I almost walked away from this hammered because I couldn't find what had given the signal luckily I saw the tiny coin(8mm-6mm) laying on top of the ground
