First hunt with the new SEF 10x12. Can only compare it to the D2 coil. Seems to get 1" to 2" better depth than the D2. Is well balanced and not heavy to swing. I have this coil on my MXT Pro. The location I dug these has a lot of iron and fill dirt. All of the keepers are DEEP. Both are 1937 mercs and were an honest 8+ inches. Both VDI'd at 83, but were bouncing. Really have to go by tone alone when they are that deep. Think this coil is a keeper.

I have the 10x12 SEF coil on my MXT PRO and I agree that it is not heavy to swing. Congrats on your finds. Yes it is a keeper.

I use the 10 x 12 on my M6 and it is a great coil. I Also have the 8 X 6 and it gets good depth and separation.

Are you still happy with your SEF?

Are you guys (robo & treasurehound) still happy with your SEF Coils? Have you done any side by sides with the D2?
I'm looking at the 15x12" SEF to round off my MXT coils. I already have the Whites D2 and 6" Shooter and wanted something for deep cache hunting.

How would that thing do on a V3i?
I had 4 of the 12 x 15 sef coils on my V3I in a years time. Had to get the BBB involved to get my money back from KELLY CO. Not V rated when I had mine, but they say they are now. Don't believe them cause they just changed the color of the plastic from black to white.

The new white coil does seem to be V rated as they claim and is much more sensitive than the Whites offering. I don't think you can go wrong with the 10 x 12 but the larger version might be different and for me is a little on the heavy side.

I just purchased a 12 x 15 sef coil came today went out and ran it for about 2 hrs picked up about .50 cents in a area I hunted yesterday. The only thing I have found so far it is right on for pinpointing. Not so sure that it is giving me more depth but the separation is better than the coil that comes with the spectra v3i. But I do have a question in what setting to put the coil, since none of the coil selections match the size of the coil. So I have no idea if that would change an impedance matching circuit to the coil or if it just changes the depth scale of how deep the target is.
I will go out again tomorrow and test it again.

Any updates? cause I am very interested in this coil. TY!
