Found a new farm site to hunt this weekend. I'm stuck on these old farms. A new house was built on the property, but an old foundation was behind the new house.
Didn't have a bunch of time to hunt, only a couple of hours. We've had some rain and the ground is much nicer to dig, and the soil around here, Ohio, is nice and loamy.
Anyway, the area was trashy, lots of metal, so I put on the dd shooter coil. The 1853 LC, is real nice, sharp detail was at 5 1/2 inches, the wheaty was about the same, a 1918.
I get back there tomorrow, and take a few pics of the area.
