Dang it all anyway...both times my heart did flip flops and I couldnt even breathe....
Both about 4 inches deep ....iron stove door had me convinced that I had hit the mother lode ....its about 12 x 14 and I was doing the happy dance in my mind....
Iron pot lid was buried as shown and when I hit the handle I immediately thought I couldnt be burned twice....alas....burned twice....maybe the third time will be the charm!

I know how you feel.
I was digging a big target at the base of a tree near an old homesite and found a large hinge, Still had a signal, Then what looked like a lock face... Still a signal, Hit at big metal object, cleared 8 inches on either side and....

A plow blade.
But it was in good shape! I will need a bigger treasure bag.

When I hunt with Watercolor, I always chuckle to myself (sorry, Mark) when he finds old cast iron stove parts, 'cuz he schleps them along for the rest of the hunt.
