Dang it all anyway...both times my heart did flip flops and I couldnt even breathe....
Both about 4 inches deep ....iron stove door had me convinced that I had hit the mother lode ....its about 12 x 14 and I was doing the happy dance in my mind....
Iron pot lid was buried as shown and when I hit the handle I immediately thought I couldnt be burned twice....alas....burned twice....maybe the third time will be the charm! :D :D :D

More sexy, Sexy iron!

Good to see you back and posting, Gypsy :)

If I had a place for the 600 lbs of Iron I dug this year, I'd challenge your title as the Ruler of the Rusty Crusties. They go to recycling instead... :-\

Best Wishes,

Buckles

Nice finds anyway!!

When I hunt with Watercolor, I always chuckle to myself (sorry, Mark) when he finds old cast iron stove parts, 'cuz he schleps them along for the rest of the hunt. ;D

I tried to get Mark to help me pull a cash register out of a creek bed but he wouldnt do it ::) ::) ::)

Ya never know.It could have been the mother lode so ya got to dig.
I hope you didn't have to dig very deep.

uuum whose toes are in da pic? nice finds

lol Nice toes! AA cracks me up! I can only imagine how your heart was pumping digging those up and yet...I find them quite appealing...gracious it is a good thing I don't have a big ol farm or something because I would have a hard time parting with any of those rusty things! lol Sure glad you are out having a good time. Miss ya tons! ~hugs~

That's because I was up to my a$$ in mud. . . my boots still aren't clean from that hunt :D
(If Gypsy EVER asks you to follow her down to a "really neat" creek. . . watch out :o )

Maybe thats what happened to my heart. I had to get it shocked last week. I was really messed up. I hit a couple of finds that made me think all kinds of things. Jackpot for one. Better luck the next time I say.

Looks like you flipped your lid. :icon_scratch: :tongue3: ;D
That looks like a workout digging up those two pieces.

I know that feeling - Sunday Chris and I thought we'd have to bring in a backhoe when we dug to the top of a flat iron piece about 16 inches by 8 inches - all we kept thinking was "cashbox, cashbox, cashbox" - it was a box alright - the bottom piece of a battery box for a tractor... :'( :D
