Got out yesterday at a short beach that took a big hit from Super Storm Sandy back in October.....We had a pretty strong Noreaster a few days ago and it cut out a little more....The one block wide area looked low when I initially spotted it with my binoculars from 4 blocks away.....I'm so glad that I made the effort to read that beach before I just blindly wandered out to start swinging !!

Yes it does Brian.
I knew of the diagonal grid pattern but would not of thought of working the patch diagonally when looking for the real deep gold.
I like Stu enjoy looking at and making spirals as they are not only effective, they are like an art form when done properly.

The remaining big question that I have is what do you do when the found heavy target(s) is at the edge of a transition area? E.G. where the wet sand and water meet, or where the wet sand turns to dry sand.
It seems like all patterns fall apart at these boundaries (which I call the razors edge), what I am trying to figure out is how to get from the razors edge, after the finds drop off, to where I can start a new search pattern?

Mahalo Nui Loa (Many Thank Yous) for taking the time and effort to reply.

Great video and GREAT GOLD RINGS! Congrats!
