Turtle Shell Tool

This is a turtle shell tool I found about a month ago at an early archaic site. Florida has few shell or bone tools found as surface finds because of the acidic soil. My finger fits perfectly in the 'hinge' and I believe it was used in this manner. Your thoughts and opinions welcome...
