Ive been using ceramic pellets I purchased on Amazon. Currently, the same pellets have washed at least 30-40 tumbler loads.Does anyone have a suggestion for tumbler media for prepping filthy clad coins for the coinstar?
Thanks.
Aquarium gravel some baking soda & a couple drops of Dawn. Used / spent glass beads from my sand blaster worked great.Does anyone have a suggestion for tumbler media for prepping filthy clad coins for the coinstar?
Thanks.
Pumice is a frothy material and has tendency to break down quickly but would work. Guess the secret is to experiment with what you have available, just be careful with acidic stuff!I tried using pumice that came from some volcano in Arizona. Once I managed to get it down to gravel size, it quickly broke down into basically sand in the tumbler. I wasn't too impressed with how it cleaned. I may try it again.
