Another glorious summer day here, not quite as hot as yesterday… so I didn’t have to stop for a nap! 😆 xx

Today we did 2 fields… first one is a crop field in front of the castle adjacent to the grass ones we normally do… after lunch himself wanted to go back to field we have been in before on the other side of the road, loads of leads nd bits in both, but they are so big we barely scratch the surface. (70 and 65 acres respectively.)

A lovely livery button, (Manners family/Duke of Rutland) chunky pot leg, thimble and a hook.. not sure what the next one is… very small ring? Buckle and broken bit, lead bits, muskets and bullets, then for a change some pottery bits with writing on, buttons, 3 pre dec, a cartwheel penny, 1913 penny and a toasted one, 2 silvers, ones a Victoria the other I think is a slick Willy 🤔

Out again tomoz so will probably go back to these fields, rain is forecast… but frankly that would be perfect 😆 xx

Blossom,
You keep us colonials up to speed on what your royals have cast away or disregarded and we are grateful for your diligence in keeping us so informed!
We also really appreciate the awesome pictures and descriptions of not just the finds, but where the finds were made.
Thanks

Nice finds :) GREAT PICTURES :) Some of those bullets look like possibly from WW2 ?
