Just got home a bit ago with some good out of pocket scores. HA! they missed the mark on these 9 ea. 6" little platters and marked each for 50¢ That's a nice score of 615 grams of .925. No makers mark, but I know pure silver when I see it. The word sterling is in an odd spot and when you flick and ping them with a finger nail it gave that wonderful dud sound. I even stopped by a GW and found some decent and what to look for silver plate. It's a little too finger jigger made by Naiper for 99¢. These Naiper barware items sell pretty well and checking the sales history of this particular piece I feel it's good for 20 bucks or more? One was sold for 40 bucks that's still showing under the completed eBay sales.

Congratualtions! :occasion14:

Awesome score. Those sterling marks on the bottom rim are often missed. I got about the same number of plates just like them last year. I now look at that rim on all plates.

Great tip on the rim marks! Than you.

You can see how they missed that mark. Not only is it not on the bottom and in a inconspicuous location, it's pretty small lettering. It's not the first time I've seen silver marked in this way and yes you wanna look at every possible spot when you suspect something just might be pure silver. It's like gold pierced earrings that are only marked on the tiny little post.

Nice find on the sterling pieces. I've sold several Napier plated barware items in the past. Always a good sell if you can find them in good condition. Even sold a musical jigger that didn't work.

A few years back the Napier stuff was selling at higher prices then today. I can't remember what it was, but I got close to a $100 out of a Napier item and I know these shot glasses were bringing prices in the $60 and $70 range back then. I'm hoping I can at least get $35 out of this one.
